Buffalo Bisons to host Faith Day Saturday6/20/2007 - NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Third Coast Sports unveiled its 2007 schedule of Faith Day baseball events, highlighted by 10 events with Major League Baseball franchises and a 36-city minor league baseball tour.The Buffalo Bisons will host a Faith Day on Saturday at Dunn Tire Park. A pre-game concert performance by Hawk Nelson will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the game following at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the Bisons ticket office or charge by phone at 846-2032. Faith Day festivities feature a full concert by a nationally recorded Christian music artist, an appearance by Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomato from the Christian animated series VeggieTales and personal faith stories from some home team players. This marks the third summer Third Coast Sports has hosted events across the country. Hawk Nelson, a punk foursome from Canada, has rocketed to the top of Christian radio charts with hit singles from their sophomore album “Smile, It’s The End Of The World.” The band has appeared on NBC’s “American Dreams” and had their songs featured on NBC’s Stanley Cup promo spots, WB’s Smallville, Summerland and Laguna Beach. |
